Main Window
The Main Window is the primary Total Control application window. It provides access to connected devices, synchronization controls, System Settings, MDCC, scripting, and other application-level functions.
Top Bar
- Connected Devices — Shows the number of currently connected devices; the + button opens the Connection Window.
- Purchase / Upgrade — Opens the purchase page to buy or upgrade Total Control features and device capacity.
- Notifications / Messages — Opens Total Control notifications and messages.
- More (...) — Shows currently purchased features and provides Activation Migration for entering an activation code to activate or transfer features.
Main Functions
- Device — Displays and manages connected devices when Total Control is operating in Windows Desktop Mode (WDM).
- Script — Opens the Script Window, which provides scripting, automation, execution, and development tools.
- TextWatch — Opens TextWatch to monitor text or values from one or more devices using configurable queries.
- Settings — Opens System Settings, which control application-wide Total Control behavior.
- MDCC — Switches to the Multi-Device Control Center interface for viewing and managing multiple devices in a consolidated workspace.
Device List
In WDM, the Device tab displays connected devices and provides controls for device selection and synchronization.
- Device Selection — The checkbox beside each device selects or deselects that device for synchronized operations.
- Device Name — Displays the configured name of the connected device.
- Edit Device — Allows users to change the device name and assign or modify device tags.
- Device Screen Status — The eye indicator shows whether the physical device screen is currently turned on.
- Disconnect — Disconnects the device from Total Control.
- Select All — Selects all devices in the Device List.
- Mouse Sync — Synchronizes mouse actions from the main device to the selected devices.
- Keyboard Sync — Synchronizes keyboard input from the main device to the selected devices.
- Fn Sync — Synchronizes function keys across the selected devices. A function key can be mapped to an Android application so the mapped application starts on all selected devices when the key is pressed.
The Device List is primarily a WDM function. In MDCC, devices are displayed and managed inside the MDCC workspace, so the Main Window Device List does not display the connected devices.
Status Area
The bottom of the Main Window displays application status and provides access to additional status-related functions.
