Yan Ke, Chairman
Yan Ke, General Partner of Northern Light Venture Capital, has over 15 years of technical and managerial experience in network programming, and multi-processor communications. He was previously a Vice President of Juniper Networks, where his responsibilities included establishing the China R&D Center located in Beijing at Tsinghua Science Park. Prior to Juniper he co-founded NetScreen Technologies and served as Vice President and Chief Architect. Prior to NetScreen, he was a senior software engineer at Cisco Systems and a senior software engineer in Hughes LAN Systems. Yan received an MS and Ph.D in Computer Science from John Hopkins University and also obtained a BSEE from Tsinghua University.
Tan Ting Chuan, CEO & President, co-founder
Ting Tan was director of the Test Technologies organization in NetScreen/Juniper. In the past 7 years, he has actively lead and been involved in various security product projects. He has made significant contributions to the success of Netscreen. He formed and lead a testing team, starting with 2 engineers and growing to more than 100 engineers and contractors across 3 countries(US , India and China) . He was also one of key contributors in establishing and designing an automation testing infrastructure for NetScreen. He possesses extensive experience in QA strategies and processes, design and development of automation systems. Prior to join Netscreen/Juniper, Ting was a senior engineer in Cisco for 5 ? years where he played a significant role in Cisco automation tools. Further, Ting worked on enhancing IOS software. Prior to Cisco, Ting was an engineer in Sun Microsystems; his major contributions in Sun were X-Windows automation and Solaris testing. Ting holds a patent (6,549,882), obtained while he worked in Cisco.
David Weng
David Weng, General Partner of InnoBridge Venture Capital, has 20 years of industry engineering experience in computer and networking area. He was an Engineering Director in IOS Technology Division of Cisco Systems Inc. David joined Cisco in 1992, he established Software Engineering Solutions and Automated Testing Infrastructure for Cisco from scratch. His department is responsible for developing integrated test technologies to provide end-to-end automated test solutions for Data, Voice, and Video network. Prior to join Cisco, David was an Engineering Manager at Hewlett Packard and SunSoft. David received his MS Computer Science Engineering from San Jose State University in 1983.
Jia-Bin Duh
A veteran in technology industry, Mr. Jia-Bin Duh has led the growth of three major IT brands, HP, Microsoft and Cisco from nascent presence into market leaders in China in the last two decades. In 1998-2006, Jia-Bin was Corp. Vice President for Cisco Inc. and President of Cisco China where he had overall responsibilities for Cisco in China and also supports other affairs for headquarter in US. Under his leadership, Cisco China had accelerated growth in each Cisco focused sector, including Telecom Service Provider, Publics, Enterprise, and SMB businesses and grown into one of the top 5 revenue countries for Cisco globally. Some of the management systems that initiated from China had subsequently become business and operational model for many Cisco’s subsidiaries. Prior to Cisco, Jia-Bin was President of Microsoft China where he transformed the representative office to a wholly-owned foreign enterprise and grew the revenue more than hundred times within his service period from 1993 to 1998. He also worked in Hewlett-Packard for over 10 years and held a variety of managerial positions in sales, marketing and engineering. With a strong passion in innovation and talent development, Jia-Bin was instrumental in the set up of R&D Center for both Microsoft and Cisco in China. He successfully established shared vision and joint commitment with Chinese government to develop the tech sector. Jia-Bin was well recognized by Chinese governments and was invited by several Ministries and Provincial Governments as Advisor. Jia-Bin is also an active angel investor in technology and telecom related start-ups, and has held advisory role in several companies and fund in US and China. He is a frequent speaker at industry symposia and media on topical IT, telecoms networking and Internet issues affecting organizations and governments. Born in Taiwan, Jia-Bin is a graduate of the National Chiao Tung University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He holds an Executive MBA jointly offered by US’s Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Kellogg-HKUST).
